Exodus 1:1 - valh smvt bny ysral hbaym mtsrymh at yaqb ays vbytv bav

Now these are the names [smvt] of the children [bn] of Israel [ysral], which came [bav] into Egypt [mtsrym]; every man [ays] and his household [byt] came [bva] with Jacob [yaqb].

And he said unto his people [amv], Behold, the people [am] of the children [bny] of Israel are more [rb] and mightier [atsvm] than we [nv]:

Come on [yhb], let us deal wisely [chkm] with them; lest [pn] they multiply [rbh], and it come to pass [hyh], that, when there falleth out [qra] any war [mlchmh], they [hva] join [ysp] also [gm] unto our enemies [sna], and fight [lchm] against [b] us [nv], and so get them up [alh] out of [mn] the [h] land [arts].

Exodus 1:11 - vysymv alyv sry msym lman antv bsbltm vybn ary msknvt lprah at-ptm vat-ramss

Therefore they did set [svm] over [al] them taskmasters [sr] [msym] to afflict [antv] them with [b] their burdens [sbltm]. And they built [bnh] for Pharaoh [prah] treasure [msknvt] cities [ary], Pithom [ptm] and Raamses [ramss].

Exodus 1:15 And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew [abryt] midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah [sprh], and the name of the other [snyt] Puah [pvah]:

Exodus 1:17 But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved [chy] the men children [yldym] alive [chyh].

Exodus 1:18 And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why [mdva] have ye done [ash] this thing [dbr], and have saved [chy] the men children [yldym] alive?

Exodus 1:19 And the midwives said unto Pharaoh [prah], Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in [bva] unto them.

Exodus 1:20 Therefore God dealt well [ythb] with the midwives: and the people multiplied [rb], and waxed very [mad] mighty [atsm].

Exodus 1:21 And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses [btym].

Exodus 1:22 And Pharaoh [prah] charged [tsvh] all his people [amv], saying, Every son [bn] that is born [ylvd] ye shall cast [slk] into the river [yar], and every daughter ye shall save alive [chy].
